hey, to power up a system 1 cpu all i need is the +5v and the 10.3 vdc
reset voltage is this correct (im not worried about audio at this
stage) or just the 5volts will do, also if i have no cartidge board
will the cpu indicate something, anything?.. thanks in advance

12VDC and it will work fine for the 10.3VDC.

You can also send 12VDC to the 12VAC connection for audio but it sounds
a little "tinny".

I have a SYSTEM1 to JAMMA test bench harness and only have the GND, +5,
and +12, and video connections hooked up.

Also, the CPU board will display something along the lines of "NO
CARTRIDGE INSTALLED" or something like that if you power it up w/o a
cart.

thank you :)
Here's my SYSTEM1 test set up in action (note that this was taken
before I added the monitor wiring to the JAMMA harness hence all of the
'gator clips):

FWIW: You can use this to also test a Gauntlet PCB but I want to say
that the monitor wiring is different - the power connection works just
fine though. :)
