SF Rush Strange Issue

I am having a strange issue with a SF Rush I picked up recently. When
you press start and select a track, it stays on waiting for other
players... until you hold down reverse (for solo play) and bypass the
waiting for other players. You get to the car selection screen and
when you select a car, it stays on Preparing Car.... Then it hangs
there playing the music and flashing Preparing Car. I have attempted
to link it up with the other 3 Rushes and they all link up just fine,
but this one I can't do anything with.

I have removed the battery so it would go back to factory settings
with no change.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
Brandon

The hanging up sounds like a hard drive problem. If your other games
are the same version swap the drive. If there not the same revision
number they wont link.

the game sits there because it is in link mode and is waiting.
crusin worlds will do this as well.
for example, if u have two games linked....then some kid moves your
game and it comes disconnected from the link harness. that game will
hang on the same screen if its the slave unit.
go to the menu and take it off of link mode and make it the main
master.

The game is in the shop and I cant get to it at the moment, but from
what I remember on the menu, I don't see how you can change the link
mode to disabled. For example, on network test it says on local:
Trying... and nothing else. It never advances or anything, just stays
there.

Is there a some weird way to make the game the master? I don't
remember seeing any options of the sort on the menu(I guess I could
have missed it however). I didn't think that these set up that way.
I picked up four of these and they were all linked up previously, I'm
kind of baffled by this one unit.

That usually means there's a problem on that particular boardset.
Should go to PASSED before it will continue testing anything else.
It needs to pass the onboard test before it can check the Link and
cables and such.

I'd try re-seating everything possible to start with.
Check power supply, yada, yada. (maybe needs bumped up a tad)
